Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen:
Thanks for coming here today and helping us celebrate the wedding of Kristina and Daniel.
When Kristina was growing up, she was so charming, bright and bubbling with energy that I always worried if she would be able to find a “suitable boy.” After she told us about Daniel, after we met Daniel and after we saw how the two of them interact with each other, I am convinced that Kristina has met her match. I could not be happier.
The wedding is a happy one-day celebration. Tomorrow you begin your married life. It is a long, at times happy and at times a difficult journey.
I think parents sitting here will understand this. If I tell my son, “Son I hope you will follow my footsteps.” He will say “Daaad. Follow your footsteps? Yuckk.” But when it comes to marriage, Kristina and Daniel will know what I mean when I say I hope that you two will follow the footsteps of your parents. I wish you a long and happy married life.
